I was going to try to get there around 8:30-9, depends on traffic though since I'm coming from Bakersfield.

I second the parking lot area for STR.

We will probably be there an hour before our race starts. Enough time to register, get prepped, short warm-up, then head over to staging.

Last time we got there around an hour early and most of the parking lot was full... at Bonelli, that is..

The parking area is at the bottom and so is the race start. However, the awards, grub and raffle are at the top of the hill.

There is a grass area at the bottom where spectators set up. I can't remember the exact logistics. Anyone else remember?

Majority of the parking is right along Temple Ave., on the south side, basically near the race locale. Once that is full however, parking is on the north side of
Temple.
The grass area where awards and registration are is inside the stadium.

i'm really excited about this race. I did bonelli and was stuck behind the beginner guys that motored off the start and then fell off at that part just past the paved road. it was a bit annoying, but then i did get a pretty good starting position next to a kid on a diamond back jumping bike with a full face helmet.

Default Hey Dutch

Are you in this photo somewhere? Check my album here, too:
http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u94/dirthippie/SCVELO%20race%20Bonelli%2010-7-07/

Last year at the Mt. Sac race Franky set up a small canopy just below that downhill dirt st that went down into the parking lot as well as a few others set up there(as you end the first lap). Might be good if someone brought one it'll be a hot day? That was a good spot to catch the racers going by. The slant to that section caught some by surprise and a few went down.

If you don't like racing with beginners move up to Sport!

I think the Expert riders start first, followed by Sport, and Beginner about 2 hours later. Wish I could sleep in more, but at least I'll be able to chill with a radio and listen to the Charger game

I'm planning to go to cheer on the STR folks. Where's the STR beer tent going to be setup? Or do I need to bring the EZ up and the beer?

Lacey and I will be there around 7:30 since our races start at 8:45.
We'll be in our Path jerseys, so make sure you say hey!
Right now it look's like I'm racing on the Stinky, unless my part comes in today. And I saw that there were 9 entered last year in Sport Clydes, so I'm gonna shoot for coming in some where around 10th!

10th? Sandbagger!

I'll see you there in Sport Clydes Maxwell. I was thinking Beg. for me but F* it. I didn't want to start at 11am and I might as well get my money's worth doing 3 laps. Let's hope 1X1Clyde Neil doesn't show.

Btw, you should get some kind of headstart if you're riding the Stinky. Will you be putting some sweet 1.9 semislicks on it for the race?

Ok. I've never been to MTSac so I need a few suggestions about the ideal location...

I may need help with the EZ up & cooler unless I can do a drive by and drop off. Where's that ShinKen dude?

Anyone need a beer err bottle handed to them between laps? If so what do you prefer ale or lager?

I've never been there either, so I have no idea! Maybe Nancy or someone can chime in. Sarah raced there last year also.

I think I'll stick to Heed and water.. I have a difficult enough time making it through a race

Frank had a great spot last year at the south/east end of all the parking is a small seperate lot where the racers pass by. (the small lot that leads to the gate to the trophy area/stadium) After the race we all hang at the trophy area where all the bike shop tents, food etc. are. Food was a table with fruit such as bananas, oranges plus various drinks. It's not as laid back as Southridge so we just need to be a bit discreet with our gatorALE .

The flyer says you can enter on race day (fee is $30).

The closest exit for ME is Temple
