It's much better to just get a couple of buds and poach the trails on your own.

The event on the 13th is a Beginner MTB Clinic and a very short ride depending on the group. The ride is typically less than 5 miles, and in the past we have had riders who were completely fatigued within 2 miles since it was their first time on a mountain bike.

It's a clinic that is geared for new riders and hits the entry level basics, and many of the riders who attend have never been on the dirt. However, depending on the group, if there is a definite split in the group between rank beginners and somewhat experience beginners, we sometimes split the group into two sections and the Docents will take the stronger group for a short ride that has some climbing and switchbacks to work on.

The rank beginner group works on the basics....gears, braking, etiquette, platform, targeting, etc...

Hope this helps, and if you have any questions, feel free to call me or e-mail me directly.

Thanks

Adam

Wow, you never realize how much you've got planned until you start looking for an open date. I've got something planned for every single weekend to Thanksgiving.

Adam, I signed Ashlie up, but there was only one spot (she's 11). Is it okay if I ride with her, or do we have to wait for 2 spots to open to do this? I promise not to interupt the instructor.

Why sign up for a ride when you can just go out there on your own? These guys can't bust you anyway.

Dude: that can't of attitude just sets back the mountain biking movement and works against all of us! In protected area like Adam mentions do us all a favor and ride only in the designated rides on the designated rides.

Hey sorry, Warrior. I just think it's ridiculous that trucks pass me all the time in these "protected" areas while I'm not supposed to be there on my bike.
