Gene, if you need a womens perspective to help out on the clinic I would be happy to lend a hand.

Oh Hell Yes!

Everyone needs to wear a name tag or something! I'd like to meet everyone this time. I will very likely forget your name right after you tell me, so Name tags would help a lot.

The clinic idea is awesome. By that time my wife should have a bike and will need better help than I can give her.

Who do you think? Actually, I'll send PM's to those who have stepped up and want to share some of their knowledge.

Can someone bring STR bumper stickers to the ride? I want rival bike gangs to know that they shouldn't mess with me.

Update:

Looks like this is shaping up to be another good showing. Maxine Irving (Pro Downhiller) will be there to give pointers.

The "A" group route will be an advance intermediate ride, The pace will be much faster. Know your limits, then decide if you can keep up.

There are BBQ's there in the picnic area. Those interested in bringing food to cook, please pipe up so we can do a potluck or just bring our own.

I will need sweeps and leaders. PM me if you know the park and routes. I have several riders who have already stepped up for sweeps, lead, and clinics, but the more the better. Thanks

Default 2 Way Radios?

Gene, since this ride, and most all the newbie rides are so large, we should have some 2 way radios to keep in contact with. I have one we can use and I'm sure others in the group will have some. Not only to keep the group together, but also for a safety standpoint. What do you think? I know they are only "line of sight" and Chino and other trails are mostly hills and valleys, but if we could round up 3 or 4 radios it might be easier going.

Ya Dino and I talked about that at Roscoes this past Thursday. He has several we can use. Since there is 2 rides going on, it would be easier to communicate where each group is from a pace standpoint. Also, the WS will provide sodas and water as usual

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Carbon Canyon Regional Park. Just thought I'd mention that.

If these darn rides keep growing like they have been, we're going to have to rent Anhiem Stadium for the next one!
