Sycamore Canyon Sat Morning

Sycamore Canyon Saturday morning around 9am. The pace would be kinda slow through the beginning of Martha's and up the ridge, but big ring all the way down to Santee. Start at the staging area at the end of Sycamore Canyon road.

I'd rather not skip the singletrack to hit that cobble strewn fireroad Ridge thanks.

Lindsay--It's for the Sycamore Canyon in San Diego. I'm not sure you'd want to make that drive.

They finished the work that was started 2 weeks ago and I feel like 5 pounds of crap in a 3 pound bag.

Yeah, dental work can be brutal. If you have stuff pulled, you don't even realize how bad it is until the next day. Having my wisdom teeth out put me on the couch for a while.

What really sucks is they tell you not to drink.

I really want to ride since I've only ridden once so far this week. I don't know if I could handle the bumpiness of the Ridge trail though.

What kind of car will you be in?? If I can make it I'll know what to look for.

I have a silver Pathfinder. I'm very flexible on the route.

I'm riding Sycamore tomorrow for sure. I would like to ride at 8 but if I'm running late I'll do the 9 AM ride. You can just stay straight when you come out of Martha's.

We turned left last time to go up to Ridge and before that you guys went right. If you go straight its some easy singletrack to the windmill then hang a right and we can take that to the gate and cross over and pick up the Stowe trail where we did near the other gate after the downhill from the ridge. Do the singletrack out to the same spot and come back. Like I said I know a few groups that SS that same loop. Not sure about the Ridge trail but Martha's and Stowe's they do.

Thanks for showing me around the south side of Sycamore Cyn - an excellent ride. Lots of rolling singletrack, nothing particularly technical. Great Saturday ride.

As we discussed at the trailhead, maybe north mission hills next Saturday morning?

BTW, we (my excellent and understanding wife and I) usually go for food and drinks to the Wit's End in Hillcrest San Diego on Saturday afternoons after my ride - others are most welcome.
