Noob Ride at Sycamore Canyon

I'm thinking about doing Sycamore Canyon Saturday morning around 9am. The pace would be kinda slow through the beginning of Martha's and up the ridge, but big gear all the way down to Santee. Start at the staging area at the end of Sycamore Canyon road.

I don't know if there's a way to convert a post to a ride, so I did a repost as a ride.

Cool. My 575 is in the shop, so I may have to SS. I've never SS'd Sycamore before. Is it OK with you if I'm limited to a 32:20 on the flats??

What a bummer you guys are going to ride my home trail and I can't make it. This would be a good ride for b5driver to join. He hasn't had the SC tour yet.

I'm down for whatever. Like I said, I'm slow going in the stair step stuff at the beginning of MG.

You are following the cobblestone fireroad ridge route all the way out?

If that's the route, I'll get shaken to death on my SS if I'm able to go.

The plan was to go to the point where there's a post that says "trail" that points to the switchbacky stuff that lands right by the gate. I'm pretty flexible on the whole thing really. That's the route I've taken in the two times I've been there.

Thanks for thinking of me Unfotunately, I'm tied up all weekend with a birthday party for our 4 year old and family in town for said birthday. I'm hoping to escape maybe sometime Sunday afternoon, but I probably won't know until the last minute.
