Default Gate near Robber's Peak (Anaheim Hills)??

I haven't been out to Santiago Oaks in a while, but I noticed a shiny silver gate on the way towards Robber's Peak, today. Kinda blows the flow.

I guess I could try to ride underneath the arms, but I didn't feel like it!

How long has this been up there?

Couple weeks. Sometimes it is open, sometimes closed. Always annoying.

I'm tempted to go out there one night with my hacksaw.

Behave!
That section has "technically" always been outside the park. We have just been spoiled by not having to turn right and go down and up the 4th B.

Pretty soon we'll be riding the Three B's Step Mom, and she's a real Hag!

Seriously? I always assumed it was all a part of the park. So does this mean we can expect houses up there at some point?

I've ridden the 4th B once, and I'll never forget it. Steep, loose, and I fell, but that was 3 years ago.

Have you ever noticed at the top there is an entrance, with signage, to the park? If you were still in the park there wouldn't be a welcome sign.

I heard that since there is a park entrance up there there will always be an easement through the houses that get built up there.

There is room for a trail that could traverse along the ridge... if it ever closes we should demand a new trail. Maybe a true singletrack.
