Default Interest list forming - Bootleg Canyon 11/10-12

It's nearing time to hit up Bootleg Canyon for a fun filled weekend of DH Shuttles and trail riding. I am thinking of planning a trip for November 10-12 (Veteran's Day Weekend). I know Sunday is the holiday, but I get Monday off too.

Any takers? If there is enough interest I can look into reserving a shuttle truck.

More details to follow.....

As long as there isn't a trail named "Skidmarks" there, count me interested.

Interested. I'll be flying back from Florida on that Friday so I'll most likely just fly into Vegas.

Wife and kids can visit the inlaws and bring my bike for me.

I heard the DH stuff is insane and the "XC" stuff is crazy enough for most people. Is that accurate?

Some of the DH is gnar, but lots of it is fun (Reaper!!!). You'll do fine...just don't let anyone goad you into doing Ginger your first time down.....

The first time I ever raced DH was at Bootleg...and I had a great time!

Dang, sounds like fun, but no big bike = no ride Bootleg . Maybe I could hang out on Girl Scout all day on the trail bike?

The "XC" trails are awesome... but there more like Noble Canyon than what we consider XC. I rode it last year on my XC hardtail, and had a ***bla-ast***.

Is this a camping trip?

Reaper is insane. You can totally have a blast at Bootleg on the 575... Upper Girlscout, Lower GS, POW, IMBA, just to name a few. Dooo it.

Sounds like I'll need to notify my medical insurance company. Can we arrange to have a Medivac on hand?

Maybe I shouldn't say on hand. Maybe in the immediate area is sufficient.

Or, we can just wait at the bottom and change everyone's pinch flats

You can add my name to the interest list, just doesn't mean that it will happen.
