Go ahead and add my name to the (begginer) list. I rode here last year and the D/H is awesome I just go slow.

We have camped and hoteled in the past. Either is a viable option at Bootleg.

Default Camping/Lodging

Camping is available in the parking lot (free). There are bathrooms and showers.

As far as hotels, there are many in town. We will be staying here:

I can make this, but I will most likely just try to go for the day. I've used up all my overnite passes for a while!!

Talking to my posse as we speak will update later. Funny I was just thinking the same thing, time for a Boulder run. I guess great minds do think alike.

I always wanted to ride their. I am not sure about the DH stuff but I would really be interested in some of the XC. My parents live out their so I can kill two birds with one stone!

I'm in! I'll be riding the "XC" trails too. If any non-DH people are on the fence, I've done the XC stuff there and it is siiick! Pay $20, and ride up to the top all day long on the truck.

Is anyone else going to camp?

And, I think I'm driving up there next weekend if anyones down.

Bootleg Cyn Shuttle Requirements:

Bike must weigh over 35 lbs
Must have 6 + inches of travel
Single chain ring
Fullface helmet, armour optional but recommended

Failure to meet these requirements will get your rig tossed off the shuttle truck.

Come on now, play nice!! You can take your trail bike on the shuttle truck, you just have to ride down the xc trails. However, I do suggest elbow/shin guards even on a trail bike!!! The rocks are pretty sharp.

Rode it on my hardtail last year, with 3.5' suspension fork, and it's still one my top three days of riding .

(I will be riding the reign this time!)

I did get some funny looks on the shuttle truck though.

Sounds like a good time. Count me as interested on the XC side. I've heard Skyline's a b*tch to ride.

I wonder how torn up the trails will be after Interbike?

From what I remember, its mostly rock, so they should be fine.

There's really not much to tear up since there are more rocks than dirt. Skyline is one of my favorite trails, both on the trail and DH bike!!!

Hey Mechmann,

I have a question and I will be to the point. Are you rich or something you and your wife both have nice bikes and your always going on trips and long rides? Do you and your wife work? If so what kind of work do you do? I need to get a job like yours. Are you hiring?
