Boy could I ever use a !

Would like to ride, but I'm off work at 6...leaving from Irvine (Jamboree/405), I'm not sure what time I could get to the trailhead. Maybe 6:45 or so.

I may head up there a little late and roll solo. Will also check on the possibility of leaving work a tad early.

that will probably work... check back here later tonight or tommorrow morning and I will have the correct time and who is all going.

As far as the pace... I really don't care. Past the flag you deifnitly have some distance to cover before you reach Old Camp. Its not that hard though. Check out the old camp luge ride on Geoladders.com

I'm coming from the same area Sean. Should only take you 25min. I think. 405S exit Bake turn left. Right on Trabuco, Left on El toro to Cook's.

I'll be there. I'd like to go to Old camp but legs feel kinda dead today. We shall see.

Hey fun ride last night guys. Good meeting you Steve, Jeff, Jason, Doug and Matt.

Hey Jeff, glad it was just flat tires out there that kept held you up and not the boogie man. My bad, I should have turned around sooner when i didn't see anyone behind me for a good while. I kinda went oh crap when I got to the flag and didn't see you there. So I immediately turned around and started climbing back up with Jason and then Steve/Matt following.

Next time beers at Cook's for sure.

Thanks,

Carl

Don't stress it Carl. I gave Jason an attitude already so I am good. I laughed it off by the time I was down the luge. By the way, the luge is in the best shape I have seen it in a while. I am just glad I wasn't dinner for some critters.

I was already hurting on the ride. For some reason I had absolutely no energy last night.

During the first flat and not seeing anyone while I rode on my rim for a bit I said, "I better get this damn thing fixed"... only to find out that the first tube I put in must have been a bad tube cause it immediately flatted within 100 feet of riding. My third tube lasted to the last telephone pole. Then I walked cause I was in the scary overhang zone. I pumped it a few times and rode for a bit, then pumped some more, walked up the hills... finally said eff this "they ain't coming back for me." I sat down and started in on trying to find the thorn and worked on patching it. It felt like a 45 minute ordeal. I tried to listen for the leak but the dang bugs and coyotes were so laud I couldn't here it. Then I soaked my park patches on accident from my camelback so they wouldn't stick properly. I had to dry them a bit. Then my light turned off... Oh F*^$! The bike was upside down and a rock pushed the button... thank God. I thought it was my time. The stuff that goes through ones mind when things like this happen is crazy. It was hilarious.

I don't like being 4 miles away from everyone else in the middle of Ishouldn'tbeherebymysefatnightscaryarea. My blue boxers definitely turned into bunched pink panties when the coyotes started barking.

All good though, thanks for the ride. Will be doing it again soon.
