Default CHino Hills

Will be riding Chino tomorrow around 9:00 if anyone wants to join. Will be around 20 miles. Some climbing to start with, good singletrack in the middle followed by a super faaast descent to the finish.Pretty moderate pace ride. The wet dirt is calling.Make sure to bring a couple bucks, as parking is in Chino Hills State park.Just take the carbon canyon exit off the 57 and go east.Pay to enter the park.Take the parking lot east to where it dead ends.

Or somebody sneezes real good, they'll close that park in a heartbeat.

Where do all you people get this false info?
Rode Chino today.Payed at the entrance and they let me right in.Saw a lot of other bikers out there too.All in all, about a 2 hour ride.Conditions were primo. The slight breeze was perfect.Wet dirt was very nice. This place is starting to be one of my favs in socal.Bovinian and Raptor Ridge are a great rollercoaster ride.

I rolled into Carbon Canyon / Chino Hills? today at Rimcrest and there was a ranger just coming out. The Sign was up... the sign that is usually up after rain. Its been a long standing rule that you can't ride for 48 hours after a rain. Anyway, he said the park was closed until further notice. This was this morning.

The park you parked at is Carbon Canyon Regional Park. That park was open and is close to Chino Hills State Park, but it is not affiliated CHSP. CHSP was closed all day Saturday and Sunday until noon.

I rode CHSP this evening after the signs came down and some of the single track had ruts in it from people riding yesterday. Not saying you were the ones to put them there, but I think it is bad form to ride when the park is closed.

I went out for a quick ride to 4 corners on Saturday morning starting from the Carbon Canyon park side... there were lots of cross country runners already on the trail when i got there.

Telegraph canyon was hard packed and very nice... slippery in some spots... no ruts were being generated since the trail sucked up the rain well...

I saw a Bob Cat on the fireroad portion of the trail as i was about 1 mile from 4 corners... it saw me and took off back up the trail... it was my first Bob Cat sighting in CHSP!!!! very asweome!!

Started raining on me as i descended back down Telegraph canyon... never saw any closed signs but saw lots of other riders on my way down...
