Default An afternoon quickie - trail work at AW

Can anybody join me for a little trail work at Aliso Woods on Sunday afternoon (9/23) at 1 Pm? If so, meet me at the Canyon Vistas entrance. With all this rain, we have a small window of trail work opportunity wherein we can do some meaningful trail work . Foo went out this morning and took photos of Cholla (see Rain thread) which shows that the dry top soil has been washed away. Depending upon how many show up, we may be able to hit both cholla and Lynx. I'm thinking of working for 1-2 hours then riding.

I know it's short notice, but is anybody available?

i will definitely try to make it, if it was earlier in the morning it would be 100% for sure since that would be my riding time anyway. I'll see what my entertainment director has planned for tomorrow. i think a couple of hours wont kill her

i was thinking it would be cool if we had enough people to work on cholla, lynx AND meadows

I'd forget Meadows... just too far at the other end of the park. The Canyon Vistas end will keep us busy enough.

Thanks for the effort....

If I can finish my honey-do list early enough, I'll be there. Five Oaks could use a lot of love, too, but maybe that'll be next time.

Gregg, no promises here since I've got an AM repair out in LA @ the Westin Bonaventure.

1. If I can make it, what should I bring?

2. Is Canyon Vistas same as MILF?

If you've got a shovel or other tools, bring them. We do have a few tools stored in the shed on\at the bottom of Lynx. Yes it's the same entrance. If you do come late, we'll be working on Cholla and then Lynx.

I would join you but the wife just came home from the hospital today after surgery. I need to stick close to home for a week or so. I may try and sneak a early morning ride in though.

Can I ask where Aliso is? I'm in Pasadena and the wife just told me I can do whatever I want tomorrow. Was thinking of hitting Fontucky but did a number on the knee today wishing I was at Mammoth.

Its a little over and hour but might be worth it just to say hi from the Pasadena STR contingent.

Do I need to bring anything with me other than water, food and a shovel?

Bring your bike & riding gear also and we'll take a spin through the park afterwards. If you haven't ridden here, you'll like it!

is this where you are meeting?

To reach the park from Interstate 5, take the Alicia Parkway exit, proceed west (approximately 4 miles). 1/4 mile past Aliso Creek Road is AWMA Road, turn right crossing over a bridge; parking is on your left.

Here are the directions to MILF park (Canyon Vistas) entrance to Aliso

http://www.socaltrailriders.org/foru...988525&zoom=14

I'd love to help out but I'm working in Riverside tomorrow.

Project D - Other than brush clearing when necessary, I'd leave 5 Oaks alone. We don't want to turn it into another Lynx fiasco.
