I'd love to help out but I'm working in Riverside tomorrow.

Project D - Other than brush clearing when necessary, I'd leave 5 Oaks alone. We don't want to turn it into another Lynx fiasco.

C
so its basically the 405 to the 133?

"is this where you are meeting?"
That is the main entrance.
Canyon Vistas park (aka MILF) is here:
Directions:
North County heading south: 405, Exit Irvine Center Dr. Turn right. Stay on Irvine Ctr Dr. It will turn into Moulton. Continue on Moulton for a couple miles. Turn right at Glenwood. Take Glenwood all the way to the top and cross over the corridor (Hwy 73). Glenwood turns into Pacific Park. Turn right on Canyon Vista. Follow this for half a mile. Park at the little park on your left.

ok last stupid question(s), due to the distance I probably wont bring the bike as I will have to get back to home turf at a reasonable hour. Is this an issue? Do I need to ride to where we will be working? Also all I have is a shovel.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just new at this.

Swing by Flake Jansen's bike shop and pick up a ride(he has 4 bikes that will work great at AW)....then take the 55 north to the 73 south to Glennwood and turn right to Canyon Vista turn right...voilla

You don't need to bring a bike... more fun afterwards if you do... we will be working close to the trailhead where we will park.

I saw in the other thread that the park is closed.
Should we bother bringing bikes?

Foo went out this morning and took photos of Cholla (see Rain thread) which shows that the dry top soil has been washed away. Depending upon how many show up, we may be able to hit both cholla and Lynx. I'm thinking of working for 1-2 hours then riding.

I know it's short notice, but is anybody available?
Sorry I wasn't able to make it. I hit a piece of metal on the 405 about halfway there that destroyed my front right tire. I thought it best to nurse it back home.
