It looks like Palm Desert is the only place to ride where we can breath fresh air.

If the land is open,(isn't this part of the San Berdoo or Cleveland?) I, and a few others are in. Oh boy, fresh air, and some uphill! I have done this in the past by first riding up Dunn Canyon....they call it Dunn Canyon, cause after the climb, your done....then the descent.

Not much out there to burn except for sand, rocks, and cacti, though. |

Just another slacker.

Whoa, the smoke is even getting into the central valley. Guess there is no mtn biking for me this weekend. I'll be working on the house (which it needs badly) for once instead of riding. For those of you lucky enough to get out of town, Have a great ride!

I may punk out too depending on the forecast. If it's going to be smoky out there I can't go. I know I'm a girlie man but my lungs are sensitive to smog, etc. (really). If it's bad I'll be stuck out in the middle of nowhere not able to breathe. I'll make the call late this afternoon. If the forecast is good I'm there. I've been waiting a long time to ride this again and I won't bail unless I absolutely have to.
