Candace and I are new to STR and we live in Sycamore Canyon in Riverside. The Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park is about a half mile from our garage so we ride there regularly. Candace just broke her collarbone on Thursday and now I will be riding solo (or with team dirty work). I would love to meet some STR peeps and get some rides with them. Let me know if you are interested. My cell # is:

Andy, I did the Noble ride today. It was a lot of fun. Sorry that you couldn't make it. But, there will be plenty more.
I would be psyched to drive to some of the STR rides with you, or you can join me. The Dirty Works guys are fun, but most of them have family committments so they don't do the longer weekend rides out of the area. My wife understands, so I am able to travel and do some longer rides. And, having someone to drive with would increase my motivation. Hope Candace is doing okay. Did they operate? ~Reed |

I work out in Riverside and have been to Sycamore Cyn once a year or so ago. I might be up for doing some riding there after work some time.
What day and times do you ride? PS: Candice sorry to hear about your crash

The Dirty Work groups rides at 6:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The rides are usually between 12 and 16 miles long. It's a good group of people and low pressure. People who want more of a workout can do repeats or extra credit loops.
The rides start at the Canyon Crest Shopping Center between the Rite Aid and the BofA. Group size ranges from 4 to 10 usually. ~R |

The rides are usually about 2 hours. The group usually gets out of the parking lot around 6:15 or so and we have light for about the first hour, maybe a little more and then we finish with lights.
The more the merrier. See you then. ![]() ~R |

. Thjis week , I'll probably leave earlier (5:30) and do a shorter ride. I rode that area about 3 months ago and I can see there is some good stuff there, but having an experienced guide makes things much better. I started out on the east side of Sycamore cyn and it was pretty good, but ended up on the west side and the trails I took sucked. Hope to hook up with you guys in the near future (with lights). |

Thanks Reed for keeping up on this and the wishes for Candace. She is going into surgery on Thursday. I am for sure in on the other STR rides and carpooling...I want to see some of the other trails.
