Default Lake Hodges Night Ride, Tuesday 9/11, 8PM

Hitting up the north side of Lake Hodges Tuesday night for a night ride at 8PM. 12+ miles with only 800' of climbing--easy breezy.

Directions: Exit Via Rancho Pkwy off I-15. We will be parking by the Shell station--west of I-15 by the McDonald's.

I'll probably be on my Reign--changing up a few things so I need shakedown rides before Noble. You however, need to SS. You just about killed me and Mark last week.

Had an awesome time--yet again. And a special guest appearance by none other than Jeff Sims!!! Thanks Mark, Ben, Jeff and Jeremy for an awesome ride.

I think it's safe to say this is officially a Tuesday night tradition.

All you other San Diego peeps are missing out. Charge up those lights and join us

Well we had a great time tonight.... Since I have seen both Pacman and Ben at the Fully Loop I thought it only proper to venture south from OC and check out their evening extravaganza... Lake hodges by night, having never riden there and having no idea what was around each and every corner was quite fun... like I said I think we all had a great time... This by day would make a great Newbie ride as it is not too technical but it has it's little rocks and it's not so little rocks, small drops and one not so small drop that I noticed.... You can also climb cliffs on your bike...(this must bs a San Diego thing) anyway if you live down there you are missing out.... if you don't I would say it is worth the drive, and as a bonus you get to ride with the SD contingent of STR, and they are some good guys... Time for a shower and some sleep

Thanks for the ride tonight...............

Ya, I would have to say Mark/Sladnas' slightly out of control wheelie turned wall ride up the rocky, verticle hillside wall was the highlight of the evening.

Ya Ben and I were think of doing a Newbie ride in the SD area. Ben, Pacman, Sladnas maybe others can route something in the 10-15 miles, not too hard, but not too easy either. These Newbs need to get better and exposed to as many trails as possible. I work Tues nights or I would try and make this ride sometime. Maybe on some Thurs or Friday morning I can come down. Just have to find a open weekend to host another newbie ride.

Ya Gene, as I was riding at Daley the other day I was thinking of how the 12mi. loop would be a perfect noob ride. It can be extended or shortened very easily. There are a couple very challenging climbs and some great single-track descents. Let's hook something up so you can come down and do a pre-ride with us SD peeps!

Very true. 12+ miles with close to 2,000' of climbing and numerous bail-out points if need be.

This weekend is full with Trail work at Trabuco on Sat and Traci's Whiting on Sun. Next weekend I'm racing at the 24 hr in Hurkey Creek. I can come down next Thurs morning, if not possible to do a pre-ride on the last Sun of Sept, the 30th.

Mon-Thurs are no good for me. I can do a Sunday though. Preferably an afternoon, but on the 30th I could do a morning.

I'll have to try a pre-class ride on Thursday one of these weeks. You can take my bike in for a full service detail afterwards
