Just a thought.........with the number of people it looks like is going to show up......I hope that some will be kind enough and park in the Whitting Parking lot and, yes pay for parking. It's only a couple of bucks......don't be cheap.

Just my opnion. If there is an open spot, I will be parked there.

I agree with your line of thinking Jason. We should be supporting the parks we ride in!

I will be there in the main lot and ride to the staging area. I hope it doesn't tire me out. BTW it's $3.00

Thanks for being our sacrificial volunteer.

Hmm...aren't these parks supported by our tax dollars?

Here's another thought--avoid ripping people you're asking favors of. You were making a great point right up to the "don't be cheap" part.

Just my opinion.

40+ riders and counting. Whiting will be ripping at the seams. I have my camera ready to go, this will be another classic. I may just stick to main group to take pics. I can always do the Luge anytime. Don't always get to see 40 riders going down Cactus at the same time.

That would be Whiting Rd. A fire road. I haven't been down it since it was worked on. I heard it wasn't as rutty at the bottom anymore.

No, the creeks have been dry for some time now. That rocky section has been filled and all you need is momentum to get over the sandy part and rocks and you can clean it.

Water crossings are fun!

So is mud!

Yes there are some rocky sections - but you have a mountain bike with big tires. Don't Worry!

I didn't see any water crossing's when I was there earlier this summer.

See you manana!

He's not asking a "favor" just stating the facts. Alot of people spend thousands on their bikes and then cheap out and can't cough up a few bucks to park where they ride.

Be thankful there's a park like Whiting to ride in and just pay your dues.

Life's too short to be cheap.

Necross - I crashed because of those rocks. Not this time! I won't be using my brakes.

I hope you ride some with me and Bailey tomorrow - Bailey is mountainbikerfred's little girl. We will be in the back - look for us.

LV, if the sweeps do their job, they will be in the back. It has to be that way so "no gets left behind".

Hoosierdaddy [09-16-2007 12:00 AM] - If my legs aren't spent from riding Noble, I'll be there.

Jeff, you can keep it mellow and not hammer. We'll need lots of sweeps for this ride, cause it will be stretched out.

Big apologies for not joining in, but I woke up this morning feeling sick. I have a hugely busy week coming up and can't afford to push it.

Neil, thanks for the bike offer (again!). I'll work something out with you one of these days soon.

Hope everyone's having a great time out there today. Looking forward to seeing the pics.
