Hitting up the north side of Lake Hodges Tuesday night for a night ride. Parking by the Shell station--west of I-15 by the McDonald's.
12+ miles with only 800' of climbing--easy breezy. Join us and beat the heat. EDIT: Ride time bumped to 7:45. |

Not to be a PITA, but does anyone know what I could expect for traffic heading that way? I know Doug came all they way up here to ride the Loop, but that would be a 2.5 hour drive time altogether.

Doug would know since that's his daily commute better than I know. But the 15 is hosed the majority of the time. I would guess the 15 south after 5 PM would be less screwed up but I haven't been on it when it was great. I would guess 2 hrs unless some major accident happens or something.

Mike--If you were to come down for a night ride, it would be smooth sailing once past the 91. You would be going opposite of traffic and should make good time--if there is any traffic that late.
The way home, would of course be wide open.

Hey guys, I might bail on this one
. With all this heat, it's been difficult to get in any good mountain miles, and with VQ a short 6 months away I need to get some miles in however I can. That means... I'm doing a century on Wednesday! That's right, you read correctly. After my little 92mile ride on Thursday last week, I've decided that until the weather starts cooperating, I'm going to be putting in some road miles...on my 'cross bike!!! ![]() I'll be heading down to Seaport Village and back if any one wants to join me ![]() |

FiftyTwoEighty [09-03-2007 10:43 PM] - Being a newbie to STR I'd love to join, but I'll be working in Pasadena until Friday. I have the pleasure of leaving O'side at 4:30 tomorrow morning for a 7:30 meeting in Pasadena! Woody
And you won't be back for an 8:30 night ride?? OUCH!! You gotta love commuting. (I should know, I do it too) Quote:
