Default 2007 STR Halloween Ride???
A few people have been kicking around the idea of a STR Halloween Ride. Costumes, prizes, food, sodas! Good idea or a NOT so good idea?

*** Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year***

Ride options:
* Thursday Night Fully Ride?
* Saturday/Sunday Fully Ride?
* Saturday/Sunday Bolsa Chica to Balboa Beach Ride (BBQ at Bolsa) Imagine that!
* Saturday/Sunday Alsio?

* Gene? Can you say Halloween Newbie Ride? Kids... Spouses.... Pets... Roadies?

* Prizes! Gabe (guaranteed winner of the Disgusting Costume Award)
Andy Rut (guaranteed to win the Ladies Choice Costume Award)

Yes? No? Any ideas/opinions?

One Leg Rolled Up.... in everyday street clothes

Hmm, so this looks alot like a TA ride from long ago........I know many have tried, and failed (long distances and elaborate costumes that don't work for most downhills - sorry Supermen!). BUT! Hey, if we need a spot to crash (no pun intended), after our stupendously costumendous ridealicious Halloweenie (OK went out hugely on idea here) EXTRAVAGENDIOUS ride here, might be able to accomodate that for fun at my house. Wow...I would say that my costume is one of the best, because i wouldn't have to worry about it getting caught in the chain ring. Course it might not be so great if I ate dirt. Right before this ride someone reminded me to put something between me and the seat...Wheeeew, that could have hurt later.

I'm definitely up for some fun, lets put some thought into it.

Just a thought but what about doing a Halloween costume Newbie FRED ride in Aliso?

Everyone brings a little food to share with everyone else (no energy bars or gu's) and maybe a beverage or two. We meet at the church, ride Coyote to Cholla. Cholla to Cocktail rock at the top of Lynx. There we kick back and celebrate Halloween and the Newbies making it this far. Then we head down Lynx back to the church. Wahoo's after or where ever we decide. What'cha think????

My only concern- the rides can't be too strenuous or CC's body paint will wear off. DOH!

I'm going as FoShizzle... I just have to lose a few pounds to get down to the anorexic level, sex-starve myself until october, add some over the top bling to the bike, and make sure it stays clean while I walk it down the trail.
