Default Snorkel, Surf, Ride and BBQ-Laguna Beach and Wilderness

Come out for an awesome day of riding, snorkeling, surfing and BBQ.

I'll bring the Hamburger/Hotdog stuff, please feel free to bring something as well.

The plan is to meet at Dean's at 8:00 AM(anyone want to start earlier?) and ride from there.

After the ride we'll do some snorkeling at Crescent Bay.

http://www.pacificwilderness.com/Div...escent_bay.htm

If you don't have Snorkeling equipment you can rent everything you need for 10 bucks at Pacific Wilderness, which is right next door to Adrenaline Bikes in Orange. They are closed Sunday, so hit them up on Saturday for rental gear.

If you don't want to Snorkel, you can surf at Thalia Street Beach, Oak Street Beach, and Brook Street Beach.

We'll find a beach to BBQ at or go to Husky Boys to eat.

Easy Rob, my house is a studio apartment and will not hold many. The better idea is to BBQ on the beach or the easier way is to head to Husky Boys after the ride to eat. Crescent Bay has showers and bathrooms.

Cresent Bay is one of the better body surfing and body baording beachs around. The surfers can give a day up and hang with us. Bring the kids as it is a rather safe beach. Water does not get deep fast and few rocks in the surfline.

You must hid your adult beverages well, the kiddie cops look in ice chests and if you refuse to let them look inside they ask you to leave the beach. If they find alcohol /beer they will ticket you.

Rob had me thinking you were all big pimpin' with the beach house a la "weekend at bernie's" but now you tell us it is a studio apartment? What's next? Your Turner turns out to be a re-sprayed Mongoose?

Just kidding, we appreciate your hospitality. And as long as I just have someplace safe to park the bike I am happy. Everything else (shower, food etc) is an added bonus

Yes we chain bikes to the tree on my patio. I am well off the street, nobody comes through my gate into the yard.

Default This is sooo cool...

I love to dive too!. Use to live in an apartment with skindivers on one side and skydivers on the other... had to do both! This was long before PADI and was certified by the Los Angles Fire Department They use to do the certs for air fills. I grew up with a program called Sea Hunt... all about divers. Sold all my stuff many years ago (double hose regulators, etc)... would look forward to a day in the water. Will have to try and work this out as Sunday's I'm in a church band and hard to get away... maybe I'll feel a cold coming on??

from steppie's lounge to the beach is a short walk across pch and down an asphalt road or sidewalk (bout 2 minutes). he lives within riding distance to el moro/lcwp.

no prob A.

i'm assuming we will meet up at the Steppie Lounge and ride up dartmoor and "backdoor" LCWP and we can figure the loop out from there. once done with the ride we can head over to the beach and get our snorkel/boogie/bodysurf/bbq/drink on!!!

Is this ride at the Morro Ridge: Crystal Cove trail in Laguna Beach? or some other trail? Morro Ridge is the only trail I've rode in Laguna Beach.
