I think I can make this if I blow out work on Sunday. Geronimo - which bike are you bringing?

What is Dean's Address? I may be a fool but I don't see anywhere shows where to meet. I don't know where Dean lives at.

Quick report, 10 of us started 9 finished. I will let them tell the story but another STR rider with a separated shoulder.
When we came up on the T&A boulder drop I asked Mike (Geronimo) where the P-Line was and he pointed to the rock with all the chainring scars. I told him I new that line and I watched a girl roll that on a rigid singlespeed in fact I have a video of it. He looked at it held his bike over it to see if the bash would clear and decided that he needed to try it. Did it twice making it look way easy...major props my friend. Also a pic of Craig (CalEpic) hunking the same line. Hope our friend is OK that seperated his shoulder. ![]()

Dirt is Good!

Rob thanks for starting this ride. It was fun and ......Interesting (?). Dean, as always, a pleasure riding with you. Craig, Mike-very nice to meet you both.
Should've known it would be an "adventure" with 2 broken chains, 1 bent derailuer hanger and a way tweaked rear derailuer...before we even hit the dirt! Mechanicals aside, we continued up Dartmoor and into LCWP. Dropped Ol' Em (one of my all time fav's) and then climbed out via BVD (Dillon's new favorite route ). Once into CCSP we climbed a bit more and then went down Fenceline to gate 8, crossed back into LCWP and rode Bommer Ridge to T and A.Geronimo (Mike) did the huck at the top but messed the landing and ended up in the bush, no harm done. Calepic (Craig) takes his turn and sticks it. Then we roll/bump/slide down to the big rock 1/2 way down. Mike and Craig take turns hucking and rolling it. Well done fellas! Thats when we see one of our riders walking with no bike!? JamisedOut's (Danny's) cousin, Ray, went OTB on the steep section and separated his right shoulder. OUCH!! Dean, Rob and Adrian went back to Dean's to get the trucks. The rest of us helpped get Ray down to the Cyn road. A friendly resident who lives directly across from the trail helped out with a chair and liquids for our injured rider. Danny and Adrian drove Ray to the ER where more pain meds and x-rays show a separated shoulder. The rest of us pedaled back to Huskey Boy Burgers by Dean's house and grubbed. After eating we left the bikes at Dean's and walked to the beach. Water was a cold 61 degrees. Fat Possum (Dillon) and his friend Casey had wet suits and barely got out of the water. The rest of us hung out on the beach for a bit, dipped in, got out. Rob's GF brought his wet suit, then he didn't get out either. If it wasn't for the accident, it was a good ride. 13+ miles and alot of climbing, Dean like that! It would be nice to do it again when the water isn't so cold. ~~~~~~~~Healing vibes to Raymond~~~~~~~~~~ ![]() |
