Default Box Springs Mtn info please

I'm new to the Riverside area and want to go check out Box Springs mtn but can't find too much info about it. Is it even worth riding? Any decent singletrack or is it mostly fireroad? Also, where can/do you park at? Thanks for any info!

Rob,

I've rode it a couple times with the guys from Team Dirty Works. Great bunch of guys/gals. Try their website and see if they have anything posted. If you're going, let me know, I'd like to tag along.

You know me, I'm directionally challenged and I haven't done that ride in 3+ years. Still I remember it as one I'd do again.

Up on the west side of the canyon is some sweet rock. Routes range from 5.8 up to around 5.11.

there's awesome riding out there worth checking out . there's sycamore canyon and that's xc/ trail riding that is a great ride. then there's 2 trees behind ucr and that's trail riding /dh but it's a b*tch to hike a dh bike up there but worth it for the dh. just be careful at 2 trees moutain lion warning signs posted and running into one of those is a great way to mess up a good day.

Default I know Box Springs Mountains very well

Is the riding in and around Box Springs Mountain worth it......Ohh hell yeah......I live in Riverside and I am intimately acquainted with Box Springs Mountain since I broke my leg on the Two Trees trail single track last year....and I still ride the mountain at least 2-3 times a month (some people never learn)

I ride with Team Dirty Work....check out our website

(I'm Oz on the site)

http://www.teamdirtywork.com/

If you can't make our regularly scheduled rides (Tue, Thur. 6:00 p.m.) send me an e-mail I'd be willing to show you all our local trails including Sycamore Canyon...
