Default Vail Lake - Temecula

Hey everybody...

my family may be going down to Vail Lake in Temecula for some camping with friends in September...

as always i'll be looking for some places to MTBike ride while on vacation.... does anyone know this area and are there any close trails nearby that are worth riding or exploring???

There's definitely trails very close to the campground.

Aside from riding one of the many available loops right from the campground... you could also do a day trip up to Idyllwild for a ride. If you're interested in Idyllwild let me know. I can provide a few options. As can many others.

As for other stuff in Temecula... pretty much just stick to Vail or head out to Idyllwild

Are the trailheads easy to find around the Vail Lake area??

Print up a few routes from http://www.geoladders.com before you go and it could keep you busy throughout the weekend. It's basically the same set of trails, just varying routes.

Thanks... i didn't even think to look on geoladders...duh. they have a few trails on there. i will review and enjoy.
