Hi all, I am trying to go on this one, if I get to it will be the first ride I have done with you guys. Are there really no real climbs on this ride- I am trying to figure out how much water to bring...

As much as you can carry. On a hot day, you can never have too much water.

Fill the CamelBack and throw full bottles in the cages...

Good idea, will do. If I don't drink the bottle I will pour it all over myself and act like I am in a race . Thanks...

Exactly. Pouring water over your head helps you to regulate your body temperature more efficiently, so you don't overheat.

Drink the water in your CamelBack first, then go to your water bottles. I suggest putting your bottles in the freezer the night before.

I've added this update:

I will have Sodas, water & other 'beverages' for after the ride. There are grills at the park if you want to bring things to BBQ. We can do a potluck if it makes thing easier.

Also, as CeeDubb has mentioned, bring lots of water, even if you don't drink it, you can use it to cool your head. We will be riding in O'Neill's open space. The temps aren't as hot as they are on trails like STT/Luge or anything in Saddleback Mtn.(Holy Jim, Main Divide). Lots of trees and the stream crossings will make it fun.

Depending on which way Gene is taking us if we hit the bike path at all behind the homes around the sports park there are water fountains. We are also pretty close to a few shopping centers if there is a real emergency or need for something.

Probably Thurs morning at 8am. There is a WS ride later that day at 5:30 that I may do, so I may not do the Fully Loop this week. Have to find out if Christine and Melanie (STR groupies) are going to be at Roscoes.

7,000 feet of climbing....... 'sufferfest'...... "This isn't a social paced ride." I'm just sayin' maybe if 'some' of your rides had a "HeII No!" button as an option, you'd get some of those.

I mean just saying "No" sounds like there might be some wiggle room
