Default SART 31mi figure 8 loop

Just wanted to post up our variation on the SART epic happening on Saturday with 3FBC. Not trying to take away their riders!

We'll be meeting around 7:30 at the pull out dirt lot just passed the Angelus Oaks restaurant and post office off the highway. When you see the restaurant, keep your eye out for the pull-out, which is probably less than a mile down the road.

Be ready to ride at 8 am.

Route is similiar to this:

http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=2296
for mileage and climbing.

First we'll descend some singletrack, then climb a bit back up to the singletrack climb. Climbing and rolling hills across Glass Rd, up toward the campground for a break and water refill (we'll probably stop at Glass Rd also). Plenty of regroups at trail intersections.

Once we've refilled we'll turn around and head back the way we came, eventually descending an old fire road that is partly over grown, and then on to the final climb back up the car.

It'll most likely be warm out. Prepare for some heat, and the mileage at elevation.

He doesn't know what he's missing! He's probably not gonna do Noble next month because of the "heat" either, eh?

At least we can talk about him behind his back!

This is tempting since my last (and only) SART ride went about 7 miles (if that) before 1x1clyde's rear wheel started delacing itself. It would be a tough 3-way battle for DFL crown...hmmmmmmmmmmm

The back is starting to feel a bit better but I can put very little pressure on my rt foot. Got home last night from picking up the new toy and managed to stub my foot, not toe but foot on the couch and today it is swolen and turning cool shades of blue... I can move the 2 small toes a little so there is hope,,,,

Ever just have one of those weeks..................

So is this small group gonna separate from the other organized ride?

Also, even when I hit up the post office extra credit a couple months ago it was really loose. My white jersey somehow changed colors to match the dirt beneath us...*no* idea how that happened

What happened to your back? Or is that part of the stubbed foot issue?

Man... if it's swollen and turning colors you may have a problem!!

It's probably because you're never home and you forgot where your couch was

Yup, separate ride. We're covering more miles and doing more climbing.

Um, don't wear white anything offroad

My lower back has been out most of the week, but getting much better, the foot eh.. not so much but I believe in the power of positive thinking, and I really want to play with the new toy on Sunday as well as RIP on SART Sat. I need to get out and blow off some steam really bad. work is crazy right now

haha! Next time just say, "Okay... who moved the couch?"

Hope you're feeling better. Justin's out of commission due to his sprained finger and cut up palm also.
