SART 31mi figure 8 loop

Because of time constraints (I need to be done between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m.) I am going to ride a slightly different variation that cuts the mileage by about 8 miles (including the 3 mile climb at the end).....and no it will not be a shuttle ride..... This alternate loop is perfect for SART newbies or anyone who thinks they are not in shape to ride the entire SART out and back (or who like me can't devote a whole day to the ride).

Instead of riding to South Fork Campground via SART, I will ride via MIddle Control Road/7 Oaks Road/River Road which is partly paved and partly dirt and also very shady because it is right along the river for most of the way.

Please note I also intend to skip the downhill single-track behind the post office because it is loose,sandy, there is a tree blocking the trail, and it also has the longest hike-a-bike section (and the most exposure) of the entire SART.

This is going to be an awesome ride, I wish I could make it. I can tell you, if the weather is anything like it was today, the ride will certainly be EPIC! Have good rides guys...
