Geez Nam, you're not supposed to call my bluff on the BS I talk

Tell ya what, instead of a DH contest, let's do the first run as a climbing then DH'ing combo. First one to the top, then back down all on the bike wins.

Then right before we start, I let the air out of your tires

just to be clear, a HUCK OFF is not the same thing as a DH contest.

There's just as much to huck as to ride DH up there (as you know)

CLIMB? Doug, are you feeling okay?

For sure... and Bootleg!

Is SART out of season in the fall/winter/spring or something?

ALSO: I forgot, I'll be in Cape Cod for a wedding the weekend of your Noble Ride.

No. Noble is just SO much better. I was actually wondering to myself earlier why on earth we weren't riding there this weekend.

Bootleg for SURE.

Ya, I know. I can't huck so that was my subtle way of shifting the contest to something I can do

For the record, I can't DH either.

Seriously though. What is there to do at Snow Summit/Big Bear for a guy (me) who can't huck and sucks at DH??

You can bring the kids and hike

Or... practice! You may want to pick up a set of Chunders.

If you don't go, I'm riding a semi-epic at Sweetwater Sunday morning at 8:00.

So is there stuff for me to work on/improve limited skills on? If there is, will I likely be doing that by myself??

It's not that I don't like to DH, I just have limited experience. Also, one of my biggest goals is to learn to "huck" for lack of a better word. I just don't have anyone to teach me/give me pointers.

If my foot is good enough we can go learn together,,,,

If I was trying to get more miles out of the SART I would start at Loch Leven/Mountain Home Road and climb up old Highway 38. It is a excellent singlespeed climb and a great fast decent. Great way to end a ride and add another 12 miles on the SART ride.

Now when you guys are ready to climb Clarks Grade let me know.

the 32 mi sart out and back is a flat xc ride with little elevation gain or drop boring in my opinion. wish I was going tho.
