Default I'm riding La Costa Saturday, too. At noon.

I know, I've only been on this site for a few weeks, and I'm always 'la costa, this, la costa that'. But hey, I'm a social guy, and its a cool trail. So, my buddy can't ride until 12:00, and that's when we're going. Let me know if your coming, I'll give you my cell. (check one of my other posts for directions).

haha. I was just telling Pacman, I can't do these epic rides until it cools down a bit. I'm just not built for it.

It sound awesome though, despite the higher number of broken backs that seem to come out of there. Hit me up from September on.

31-ish miles, 3,300-ish feet of climbing, 90% singletrack--how can you say no??

What?? Broken backs? You ride all kinds of dangerous places

Just think.. it'll be slightly cooler at SART than it will in La Costa.

...er, maybe not.

The exposure freaks me out at SART. Most of my falls involve coming to a stop, then unclipping, then not finding solid ground and falling over. From what Pacman told me, that can equal a 70 foot fall at SART.

La Costa gets some ocean breeze, but more importantly, if I smell smoke coming off my skin, I can just jump in my car

Ya, but I'm a big wuss who is afraid of heights and SART doesn't scare me. It's not that exposed. Here's a couple pics Allison took from the last SART ride:

See, hardly any exposure
