I've been going there for 10+ years and have watched the urban sprawl come into view slowly but surely. Yes it's $10 to park but if you frequent the state parks a yearly pass is $125 and I get my money's worth within a couple months. It's a great park for the location and if you can ignore the housing on the outskirts it's easy to forget you're in the middle of the city once you get away from the parking lot. Drop into the canyon and it's even better.

I just ride in from Aliso. Free parking and the added bonus of Stairsteps.

Ya, read the article. Question to those that know the area... I was there two weeks ago and entered through ridge park. I noticed the trailers were gone. Does this mean construction of that corner will occur sooner-than-later? If so, will park access from ridge park remain?

If I"m riding solo, I ride from my house to Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and enter through there. Nothing like Willow for your first climb.

I was their yesterday and yea the trailers are gone, but their is some land fenced in and I think they are grading the land right now. In fact the water trucks and porta potties trucks were their. I think they are going to continue on some more home construction. Like we need more overpriced homes in OC!
