I think group rides are awsome! Good Luck getting some together, when they fall into place they are a blast..

Some info on the Thursday Loop: Really it is more a social ride than anything else. People go to ride at a mellow pace and get to know fellow STR's and maybe have a few drinks..It's not a training ride, I belive this is why the larger groups go. The guys & Gals that need to get a "real ride" in usually go before hand and hammer a lap or 2..

Like Nam said the hubby (1x1clyde) doesn't ride the loop everyweek but does ride Thursday nights he's even got the ride posted on the calander Luge 8-9-07 7:30pm start.

I see your list of suggested trails and they are far more riding than social, but hey that doesn't mean you shouldn't try and get something going.

Have fun and enjoy your rides!

We are not the racer types but do like to log in some miles. Some weeks are shorter...10-15 miles some longer 15-20.

Once we get in shape and limit the stops you can bust out a bunch of miles quick

I would suggest a regular Luge run or Whiting/Luge run. THe the apres ride can be either Wahoos or Cooks Corner.

Hey! I work on Enterprise as well. I ride almost everyday at lunch in Aliso. I was going to say I will join you on your Aug 9th ride but that was yesterday.

I don't usually have time in the evening to ride past 7:00 but next time you ride Aliso I'd love to join.

Man...I feel for you.

I guess I'm fortunate because I have an office that large enough to house my bike. I normally ride to work on Fridays.

I think they'll be a pretty good chance of making a STT/Luge ride work weekly if you're looking at fall/winter night riding season. That's where most people ride for nightriding in the fall/winter. You could still do Harding or Blackstar to keep it fresh and still end up at Cook's too.

No I don't shower in that gym. They wouldn't give us a discount just to use the shower, and it wasn't worth $50 a month. Plus, I work for a game company, some people here think even daily showers are optional.

I dont have my own office but I have a huge cube in a cube farm and unfortunately bringing my bike upstairs would be a PIA... we are in the process of setting up a bike club like we have in our Houston office and maybe that can convince them to give us a small place to store them....

One thing you didn't mention was how long the Fully Loop has been going on. True maybe not all the same people, but as long as I've been riding theres been a ride going off on Thursday nights on the loop. One of the very first night rides I did was there and helped get me hooked. I go for as much as the comaradirie as I do the riding. I love to see people having a good time.

Boring, maybe some day, but not today.
