Just pictures for me, I will let Lynn and Cathy fill in the details.
23.9 miles, longest Single speedride I have ever done. Not sure of the elevation but thinking not much. The 32x20 gearing on the Niner about right for my tried legs. 32x18 would have been OK with fresh legs. Dean

Thanks for the pics. Dean! Those views bring back some good memories. I can't wait to get back there, prolly not this year though. I can't wait for your Toads RR.

I woke up with a sinus headache this morning and almost missed out on this ride. When the group started loading up, some how I got a brust of energy and said hold the door I'm in.
I'm so glad I made it. This trail starts out with a slight gradule climb, then some flowy sections before passing over to the Flume trail. The Flume trail has a lot of history to it. It follows the coast line so the whole time you're riding you're on cliffs over looking the lake. As Lynn said, "make sure you stop to take in the views" if not this narrow trial may have you going over the side. The trial is very flat, and sandy, but not too lose. You just keep pedaling at a nice pace for about 4.5 miles before you reach the lake. We had a lot of fun at the lake. Lynn and I were the first to jump in and boy did it feel great. We had our lunch and headed back to the trail head. Total miles were about 24 but it didn't feel too bad especially with all the riding we've been doing. This would be a great trail for riders at all levels. Wow, awesome pics. We have never ridden trail bikes at Tahoe, I guess it's time to step it up. When's the next trip?

OMR ~ We went in the water at Marlette Lake, not Lake Tahoe. The water was pretty comfortable at Marlette Lake.
Nancy, it is absolutely beautiful up here, with every kind of riding you can imagine. I'm definitely up for coming next year too. One week is just not enough time. PS: I posted some additional pix above. ~ cc
