Default Mammoth Mountain Closing weekend!!

I looked online and as long as I have it all right, to stay AND play at the Inn in a room that sleeps NINE people, it works out to $88.50 (not incl. tax) for the entire weekend!

Two full bathrooms and a kitchen. A similar room (same price) has a jacuzzi and an efficiency kitchen instead.

So, wanted to throw it out there in case anyone else is interested.

If Justin and I can get 6 or so other people it'd be a fairly cheap weekend. You roll out of bed and ride your bike about 10 ft to the gondola and then when the shuttle bus pulls up at 5 pm you crawl back to the room.

The hotel has a restaurant and full bar. But, who needs that when you can bring your own food??

We'll be driving up, probably Friday after work, riding Saturday and Sunday, and coming home Sunday evening.

Please RSVP yes only if serious.

I'll book the room if I get enough serious people interested!

we also would have room for two people in the whore for this trip, it might be a bit tight inside but that is a small price to pay!

Nothing going on that weekend, so why not? Well, hopefully nothing. Baby's due less than a month later, and if all is still looking good, I'm definitely in. RSVP'ing Yes, as I currently have every intention of going.

I'll be driving myself, though, just in case...

Okay, so we've got MORE than enough people... do we want to do a cabin, or stay at the Inn?

Here's the info on the Inn -

$800 total for Nine adults (Stay & Bike package) in either of the two rooms:

Two-bedroom w/loft condos sleep eleven. One room has a King bed; other has a Queen bed, loft has 3 Twins and one Queen; Queen sofa bed in living room. 3 full baths; full kitchen.

Executive 2-bedroom w/loft condo sleeps 10. Large living room with Queen sofabed. Master has a King bed; other has a King. Loft has 2 Queens. Three full baths and kitchen. Views!

https://lodging.mammothmountain.com/...ions&WCE=Dates#

Click on "View Room" to check out a photo.

Works out to $88.88/person. Lift tickets are $37 per day, so basically the room is $14 a night.

If anyone knows a cheaper way to do it I'm all for it!!

I'd like to book ASAP to ensure the room is available and so price doesn't go up.

I vote for the Executive 2 bedroom!! Can we reserve a bedroom (we'll pay extra if necessary)?

I got the other 2 bedroom. Sleeps 9, she said, but online it says 11.

Stay & Bike for 9 adults. I think I can probably go change that, but if others want to crash on the floor and chip in a few bucks for the place they can get their own 2-day ticket also.

There was a $15 non-refundable fee, and I was charged the first night. Otherwise if cancel within 3 days of the 21st that is refundable.

The grand total (incl. tax) is $843.16. Works out to $93.68/person for the weekend. If anyone wants to paypal let me know, otherwise maybe checks or cash when you can? We'll be at Snow Summit the next two Saturday's.

Sorry if anyone is turned off by the available room!!

That means that the first 7 people to pay up get a bed

BTW, the room I booked is probably better for you single male types. There are 3 twin beds instead of making you guys sleep together!

Lastly, if anyone is gonna back out, please let me know. We can always save $$ by lessening the bike passes for the room.

Thanks!

Okay, we have 10 people signed up below, not including jcampbell, who I think is not staying with us.

I'd like to ask everyone signed up to confirm that they'd be willing to pay like, right now, for the room. I'm not asking for the money right now, but definitely want to know that everyone is confirmed and will for sure be there.

A few people have other friends that they may invite if someone won't be going, so please let me know!

The list I have is:
Justin & I
Nancy & Roger
Ann & Andy
Dell
Nam
Pain Freak
Dino

The room currently has 9 people on it, but I will call and add one today.

If we've got the full 10, no worries. Any other people are welcome to head up and crash on the floor. They just need to buy their own lift tickets!

If you guys wouldn't mind letting a new guy come along I really want to go. If anyone would let me carpool with them that would be awesome, or I can make my own carpool of 4 including myself if I am helped out with the gas.

we don't mind having a new guy along. at this point we really are working on solidifying the original people that responded. once the dust settles we will know more.

You'd just need a sleeping bag and money for the lift ticket.

Where do you normally ride? Might be cool to hook up for a ride beforehand. In case you really smell or something.
