That's perfect riding and camping weather!

Although it would be nice if were to rain a for few days before we go.

Nothing better than riding all day, filling up the nalgene bottles with a few pints, and heading out to the hot springs to watch the sunset...ahhh...

Very well said! I enjoy the biking and summer activities up there much more than the winter stuff. To all those heading up for the final weekend, have a great time! Wish I could join you.

I'd say skiing. I'm a much better hucker with a pair of sticks on my feet.
Can't wait for that flaky white pow to dropping from the sky.

But until then, I'll settle for some DH riding.
Both! Can't live without either!!!

Default Carpool anyone?

I hope I posted in time for a spot to mammoth?!?. If so and you are on the 15 from San Diego, I can carpool. I can drive or ride. I have a 2 bike rack and can fit a couple bikes in the back. I think 4 people/bikes will work.

Default A day late and a doggy short as usual!

I would have liked to have tried to hook up on this trip but timing is bad as usual. For Noble it was my mom and for Mammoth I gotta be the dog sitter. So NO travel. Dang! Hopefully I'll meet you folks at some point.

Rain Wednesday, Snow Thursday, Rain --- and that's in town! Higher up is much colder, so it should be all snow!

To think I was crying when the high was supposed to be 50.

Looks like I need to hit up REI and also find myself an ice scraper for the windshield.

Anyone have a cold weather glove recommendation?

Edit: Nevermind, Dino has started a seperate thread on this.

Is this anything like a 3 dog night request? If so, the answer is NOT!

I'll be car camping somewhere. Where, I don't know yet. I've camped in the back of the truck several times well into low teen temperatures, and it's still quite comfy.

Many XC riders will be there! (I'm not one of them, though)

Oh, and if you do find someone to camp with, make sure you don't accidentally put your underwear on backwards.

you guys crack me up! I am going to try to get a friends condo but if that dosen't pan out, I am going to shoot for getting a walk-in site at Devils post pile or twin lakes. McGee creak has spots open but that's still a drive away.

what's 3 dog night Dean? I am afraid to ask!!! Probably something from the 70's!!! I know the band but I am sure you are referring to another issue.
