Default Rumor debunked

FYI,

A few people have called Mammoth and were told that closing day is Saturday 9/22. I called them myself and they tried to tell me the same thing. I had them double check and closing day is officially 9/23 and they will be selling lift tickets!!!

Anybody else heading up friday? Or want to for that matter? I'm going to bring the xc bike for that day (I'm renting a DH bike anyway) if anyone wants to get some miles in to acclimatize.
Soooo stoked to get an extra day up there!
We are heading up Friday morning also. What time do you plan on riding on Friday? We might be able to hook up.

Thanks for all the tire recommendations everyone. I was just going through our stock of tires in the garage and found a 2.5 DH Nevegal in pretty good shape still. I'll slap that on Ann's bike and be done with it for the weekend.

Hopefully I'll be up there around noon or so, provivded I can get myself packed thursday night and moving that early friday morning...I'm gonna try and ride that afternoon, probably just park in town (at the brewery really) and ride up to Minaret Summit or something to get acclimated and then I'm not sure...may stick to the xc trails instead of renting a big bike for another day. Are y'all gonna DH that day too? If nothing else I can hook up with y'all for beers after!

$26 is the late season rate and I believe at this point you don't need to have a MVP pass to get it.

However, you may need to inquire and push for it. I called for the rate a couple of days ago and Mammoth quoted me $37. I then asked "what happened to the late season rate?" The operator told me that if I ask for the rate they will give it to me.

I'm going into the dentist Thursday afternoon to have a tooth removed. Depending on how I feel on Friday, I may not be up to going into work that day. If that's the case, I may leave earlier on Friday.

However, with my luck, my shock may not return from Push until Friday, and the return shipping address is my work. DOH!
