I'm sure the group will get broken up into smaller groups, but will there be a DH specific group? I know Roger and Nancy are DHers, but are there any other DHers going?

I'm defining DHers as those who don't have front derailleurs - poor definition, but that was the best criteria I could come up with other than "those who have bikes with 65-degree-or-less head angle"

Nam, are you going to buy Roger's M3?

ss'ers and 1x9ers don't have front D's... as for the M3, i'm looking to build a light trail bike right now... i'm not much of a DHer

I don't think taking a kid trailer down Downtown is a good idea, but it has been 5 years for me.

Sandbagger_Lee - I will be there in the "DH group." (With front derailleur...DOH!)

You're right. Maybe I should have stuck with the 65-degree head angle qualifier.

I had a front derailleur for my first DH race...yeah, bad qualifier.

And why am I still being called a sandbagger? I raced in the expert class for my second race.

i don't know about the rest but there will be plenty of DH riders. (probably just about everyone)

i think there will be quite a bit of variation between riding skills. we will probably start out as one big group. i think that we will have smaller groups break off though as most of the really fast people don't always like the stop and go that the trail paparazzi does.

I guess I'll try to put away the camera for this trip except for when people are sessioning or something.

You bastids...

Default more DH riders

You can add Jeff and Scott to the DH riders. My bike has 2 rings on the front, is less than 40 lbs, and has a 67 HA but I still like to ride most of the DH trails. I can ride XC any time. How often do we get to ride the lifts?

Don't let the Mann keep you down!

We have to go for the all time paparazzi record.

Hey Marty, I didn't see any Mammoth rides posted with 9/8 date listed on them, but you might want to post your own thread to see if anyone is going up to Mammoth this w/e. If I'm not mistaken, there were some other riders going up, sorry just don't remember who.

Welcome aboard btw

I think we need to designate runs based on "Papparazzi run" vs "Lock and load, no stopping run". I'm up for both!!! It works better if you separate the two!! Then everyone will be happy.

Nancy, great idea. Maybe we can do a few early runs with paparrazi and let everyone find their groove, then do a few runs with no plans to stop.

Never hurts to stop and regroup early on to help each other with stunts. After a few runs we'll be warmed up and can just hit the runs with no plans to stop except at trail intersections.

Default MVP pass discounts

I have heard that Mammoth is offering discounts for MVP passholders. Bike park passes for $26 instead of $37. It says you can share this discount with your friends. I know many of you are doing the ticket and lodging deal. For those who aren't I have an MVP pass. If you are interested in saving $11 per day let me know.
