Whiskey Creek used to rule! Although I haven't been there in years.
The duck was awesome back then.
We ate at the Bishop Whiskey Creek a couple of years ago (not sure if they are related) for Thanksgiving dinner. It was fantastic!

The 2.5 is a F, but some people say the F stands for Freeride and the R stands for Race. Don't really know, I always use the F up front and the R in the rear.

It'll be saved for you.

Not sure if you've ever ridden up at Mammoth before, but I'd go for as wide a tire as you can fit in your frame/fork. The kitty litter up there is pretty loose and deep. Even after the rains. I'd take the 2.7 if you can fit it in. Just my $0.02.

You know with all of us up there we could have fun in the parking garage!

It'll be a great group, regardless... we'll find something to do.

Bring quarters for the dryer cause we may need to dry out our bike clothes

I'm hoping we get snowed in for a week so I don't have to A, go back to work & B, finish painting the spare bedroom. I'll bring a box of screws incase we need to spike the tires!!

I was up there labor day and there were some absolutely INSANE deals on 2007 demo ski/snowboard equipment. We're talking $250 for top of the line stuff with bindings already mounted. Most of it was in pretty good shape too. Bases might be a little thin though from repeated stone grinding thoughout the season though. BUt 250 bucks? why the hell not?

Last Chance to Ride Mammoth

A dusting of snow greets riders this morning on Mammoth Mountain. A cold storm moved into the area yesterday leaving Mammoth Mountain with a fresh coat of white. A mixture of rain and light snowfall is forecasted for the next few days. Cooler temperatures combined with the moisture will put the trails in great shape, firm and fast!

You guys are going to have so much fun! It will be great!!!!!

Default Travel Safe

Looks like you all are going to have a blast! You're gonna get the best of both worlds, snow early am's and DH trails the rest of the day.

Nothing like drinking a few brews after spending the day on the mtn and to leave to bar and your nose gets cold.

Be safe, travel well and we can't wait for the RR: when you get home.

I've got family obligations so I'm out, but even with the cold I wish I was going. You guys/gals are going to have a blast and remember "What happens in Mammoth, doesn't stay in Mammoth but get's published on STR".
