Shoot man, you don't need no stink'n lycra on this road ride!
You'll have me in my "normal" HOSS mtbing shorts, and Elrod in his usual Dickies!
Come as you are, not as how you "think" you should be!

Maybe I'll "blouse" my mtn. bike shorts by wrapping duct tape around the bottom openings. They inflate like parachutes when I wear them on the road bike.
