Default Mammoth 8/4

Hey All,

We're hitting Mammoth Mountain the first weekend of Aug 4th & 5th. If anybody is interested in joining us for a ride, please let me know so we can hook up. So far, there's 6 of us going. Unfortunately, our cabin is full, but you can find some pretty good deals on Mammoth's website here:

Mammoth Deals - Where To Stay - Mammoth Mountain

You can get lodging and lift tickets for $73/day on a double occupancy rate. See ya up there!

Hey Andy- I would be interested in joining your group that weekend! Are we doing Mammoth both days or are we going to squeeze Lower Rock Creek in on Sunday?

KAZLX- I "presume" we are riding the entire mountain. Kamikaze, Skid Marks, Flow and Velocity are on my list.

It would be cool to meet up with some people. I will be on a white Gran Mal with a white 888. My buddy is on a silver DHR with a black 888, we try to avoid pedaling. We will be on velocity, flow, bullet, etc...

If anyone ever wants to split a room or trip, hit me up. My buddy w/ the dhr is my only riding partner and I don't know how much he will be able to go this summer.

Justin's bringing his Socom and I'll have my Enduro set on PLUSH up there.

Not sure whether I'll be sporting flats and the flak jacket, though

We're gonna be riding mostly downhill trails. Maybe we'll hit Lower Rock Creek on the way home.

Roger and the DenMo will be there. We are bringing both DH and trail bikes. What time will you be shuttling Rock Creek on Sunday afternoon?

Crimson Nomad and myself will be there with 2 other Bro's. The Bluesapalooza and microbrew festival kicks off Friday night 8/3 with a BBQ and goes all weekend. What could be better than to ride all day and sample beer all night (in moderation of course).

My bad, just a correction. The 12th Annual Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza is on 8/3 and 8/4, not all weekend as I incorrectly stated in my prior posting.

I'm not sure what time we're gonna start Sunday. I'll PM you my info so if you wanna hook up for a shuttle ride, give me a call. I'd like to ride Rock Creek, but I'm not sure right now if the group wants to ride it or ride the Bike Park.

What time does everyone expect to start Sat? I'm guessing we'll be on the mountain/village by 10:30am.

I'll be riding a Black Nomad
Slowspokes - Green SC Juliana
Dino Brown - Blue IH MKIII
Allison - Blue Enduro
Mechmann - Punky Bruster Red/White Socom

I stayed there two years ago. They screwed up my reservation but made it right by giving me a kitchen upgrade at no extra charge. Clean and close to town, I would stay there again.

We're staying in a cabin on Canyon Blvd., right by the village.

Absolutely banker's hours. We're leaving Friday night after work so I don't know what time we'll be up there. I'm hoping to be up there by 1am, I can't speed too much seeing that I have a court date with the judge at the end of this month to try to convince him I need secondary traffic school. Yeah, I just graduated from traffic school 6 months ago.

Clearly we need to carpool so Justin can drive. We'll definitely need to get there earlier

Nancy - Justin and I will be up for the opening!! Er, I think.

Ann, please, please help Andy. I've seen the symptoms before. I've only been on a MTB for 5 months and I'm doing the best I can do to resist the temptation of full-time MTB'g.

Before it's too late, let Andy know that there is other stuff to do in Mammoth ( I'm afraid it's too late for Dino). Maybe you won't trudge down to Crowley Lake, but if you just drive two miles up the main road in Mammoth, Andy and everyone can take a well earned break and catch some dinner.

Honest, it will make you appreciate the MTB'g a lot more even seeing without Woobie taking shots on the Loop!

Here's my last trip...( even an Iron Horse has no effect against my fishing!!!)
