hey based on prior post i was just offering up a donation so you/others are not stuck as only providers. candidly, i've been know to knock a few back post ride but not typical of me to indulge mid ride. either way if i am able to join in i'll gladly bring something and if no interest for consumption atop beeks can stay in my truck chillin' so to speak

- and i want credit for not responding with a crude virgin and beer joke

I don't mind bringing a few or a lot of beers up. It just started to sound like that was becoming the focus of the ride.
I appreciate the donation offer. Quite often people will give a few bucks before or after the ride. That is much appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Honestly... An Ice cold Beer, the Satisfaction of making it to the top (WITH MINIMUL PAIN) and Great Company while sufferng are all the incentives I need. I could do with-out the Beer if I had to, but the other 2 are Mandatory!

hey i've been off rig and on DL for ~6 month and told by surgeon i should never ride again. just getting back on bike and "spitting in the wind" atop beeks is my motivation (note - i'll stand away from everyone if goes from figurative to literal )

Crash - date on pdf states 7/5? saw some guys prepping to ride b-star yesterday? header on pdf says gate/vehicle access. u sure meant for mtb??? if so sux!

Yeah, I didn't know about it until talking to a friend yesterday, so I checked the Cleveland National Forest - Current Conditions site.

I'm sure it's not posted, and I'm not sure how they expect users to know. I have heard that the fine is real steep.

I'd say play it by ear. If it's closed due to fire hazards, I'm not going to be riding there.

The trails, such as HJ, Trabuco, Chiquito, are ALL STILL OPEN.

I figure they're closing off the fireroads because so many people use them, for the most part.

I just called this number which has updates on closures. Doesn't Mention Black Star. It also says Maple Springs is closed and I was told just now that it is open, but has not been updated. It was the same info I had last week. Black Star beyond iron gate is open according to the person I spoke to. He says the road to the iron gate is private and Cleveland does not control it. I will update this when I get more info or you can call this number (951) 736-1811

The Maple Springs gate was open on Saturday.

as mentioned above was curious so after running erand drove by yesterday (mid day). The road to gate off of Silverado was open (gate closed - dont recall ever seeing open unless one of the prop owners coming out). anyway, noticed no less than 5 cars/trucks parked including 3 guys kitting up for ride (bikes, gear, etc,). not sure if open/clsoed just passing on info
