Dunno about West LA; we are in Torrance right now, and sometime between now and tomorrow AM I have to swing by Huntington Beach to pick up my gear. Not sure if I should do that tonight, or if I should make it an extra early morning and do it then...I suppose I should look at a map, I'm not sure what would make more sense!

I think most people are meeting at the Jack in the Box off the 91 @ Green River Dr. @ 8:30am to carpool and stuff...right?

I'm still up in the air for this one. I'm at work right now and hope to get some nap time in. I've got my gear with me so I can head straight to the meeting place at 8:15ish. Any idea when we would be back?

You can do the first ride (should be done around 1-2pm) and skip lunch and second shuttle. Last time we finished the shuttle around 5pm but we were killing time to let the late Sunday LA traffic clear.

Still at work and no end in sight. Dean, don't think I can join you guys for this one. I would be wasted by noon and still would have to drive back and then be at work at 8pm. I'm staying local and do a ride here when I get off work, then swing by the Path and try not to spend too much and finally bed no later than 2pm. Have a great ride guys.

Thanks to all that showed up today, 18 on the first ride and 7 stayed over for round two. I will not even try to list the names..great to see some new faces.

Ghixon I sure hope we did not loose you for round two. We started to go to lunch, then decided to wait until after the second ride to eat. If we lost you I am very sorry, it was not intentional. Besides we want your help with the local goods up there. The singletracks that I ride up there don't hook up well and it is not worth the drive up there for short loops. We want some epic loops worthy of the ride up.

Burner you are great thanks for the B-Day gift...you rock.

Dean

Great time today guys. Sorry we couldn't hang for the 2nd ride, we we're starving. You didn't miss anything at Big Bear Brewery except warm, flat beer and overpriced bugers on toast. Oh well, it hit the spot.
Great to see some new faces out there as well as some familiar ones. I'm soooo bad with names but some pics will be up soon.

thanks for setting up the ride Dean.. the trail was pretty fun, i just wasn't in the mood to do much climbing.

Neil, thanks to you and Traci for letting me crash at the crib. I expect that room for be held for me from now on bubb.

the best part of the ride was when Neil and I pulled into the trail head parking lot and we spotted Jose's truck! We both looked at eachother and said... "wtf jose drove?"

it was good riding with everyone and maybe we'll see everyone back there next weekend?

Sorry I missed this ride. I got off at 6:45am but only had 2 1/2 hrs sleep so I decided to stay local and do Maxwell's Santiago Oaks ride and then hit up the Path for it's sale. Can't wait to see the pics. Next time Dean.

And some more:

Jason before the carnage!

The birfday boy!

The fork in the road, either left to back down to the parking lot or right and up to the peak

The top of the trail, killer view of Big Bear lake....notice Jeff in a zen-like trance but not on a SS?

The Huck Rock at the trailhead! It was ALOT bigger then it looks in the picture

Jason grinding over it

Again, Thanks for showing me the trail and Happy Birthday Dean!!

Thumbs up Nice

Nice pics Neil. Now I feel even worse that I didn't go. All kidding aside, that looks like a great place to ride. Sundays will always be tuff for me to go because of work. I may have to do a week day trip and just do it!
