80 degrees and rain, even if it does rain, it will still be great riding. I am going. It is the humidity I hate.

Erosion is inevitable, safety on the other hand is the riders responsibility. Deep dirt = pay attention (mabye taking it easy in the corners). Hmmmm, "ride don't slide" is hard when you have a "let's practice drifting" mentality in the corners. LOL..... ![]() Remember to be kind to the dirt.......(or your momma and the tree huggers will slap you silly).

Maybe 2-3+ hours so maybe about noon-1:30pm. Some of us will have lunch then do a second ride. Dean

I used to live in Big Bear Lake. If it does rain, it will be brief and won't last long. Summer rain is weird up there. Thunderstorms and pouring rain for 5 minutes, then clear again.
On a side note, my girlfriend and I are looking for someone to carpool with! We can leave from the OC (Huntington Beach) area or the South Bay (Torrance) area. Anyone have room? Let me know! ...and does anyone have a S/M (5'5"-5'6" rider) bike we could use for the day?!

Can you make it to the meeting place at Green River Dr. and the 91 at 8:30a? If so, I'll have room for you and the g/f in my Tacoma, though one will need to take the back jump seat. It isn't bad, really, but can get a bit tight over longer drives. Anyway, room's yours if you want it, otherwise I'll be looking to share a ride myself.

Still plan on trying to get up for this. Except now there is talk about an after party and the bar is offering Roller Girls free shots...pray for me. If I can get up I'll be at Green River at 8:30 to caravan up.

I'm pretty bummed out! This was going to be fun, I've got a nasty cold and my chest is tight, breathing and riding in elevation is not going to work.
![]() I'm in big Bear now, and the weather is going to be great tomorrow! Dark clouds rolled in for about an hr cooled everything down and rolled right back out.. Have a great Birthday Ride Dean! ![]() |

OK Matt, no redneck white trash lunch tomorrow. I hear that Big Bear Brewery is good...never been there...anyone got the goods on them? ghixon "you local" are you listening? As far ar the car pool goes I have room for one. I will be at the Jack in the Box Green River and Hwy 91 at 8:15 having a nutritious meal. I have room for one, I will be taking my truck up because we may need a shuttle truck or two to do the afternoon ride. Directions from OC to Fawnskin. Hwy 91 North, Hwy 10 East, Hwy 30 North, Hwy 330 North to Running Springs...turns into Hwy 18 at Running Springs, then just keep going for about ten miles at the big Bear Dam go straight on Highway 38...do not turn right to the town of Big Bear. About three miles after the dam look for Grout Bay and the Grey's Peak Trailhead Parking Lot of the left. Clearly marked. If you end up in Fawnskin, turn around and go back maybe a half mile. Or just met us at Jack in the Box for a nutritous meal and follow us up. See y'all tomorrow. Dean 714-747-2189 cell
