Enough with this roadie stuff for a weekend. I haven't been on the dirt in months. The Yeti is getting pissed.

This ride will be in the Chilao area. Most likely start at Three Points play around in the Mt. Hilyar area and see what happens next. Sections of Silver Moc, lunch at Newcomb Ranch, etc.

If you have not been to the Chilao area this is a must ride area. Some of the best MTB in the Angeles and far better than that south OC stuff.

No but seriously, the Mt. Hilyar area is an absolute playground of obstacles, the Silver Moc from Horse Flats to Chilao is some seriously challenging singletrack. I find Chilao has some of the best bang for your buck in terms of downhill singletrack and limited climbing.

Meet at carpool spot 100 yards north of the 210 Fwy on the Angeles Crest Hwy exit at 8:00AM.

I might see you out there. I'm starting at Short Cut saddle and climbing to Charlton and then I'll do the classic figure eight-not doing Mt. Mooney& no road on this ride. If you want to drop the silver moc to Short Cut saddle I can shuttlle a total of 5 bikes and 5 passengers back to Charlton Flats.

Meet at 8:00AM. I suspect we will finish between 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Depending on what the group wants there is another group (OTB) riding in the area. They are meeting at the same spot. They are a really cool group of riders, many very good but without pretension.

You guys should come out. You will love it.

about 8-1:00pm

It could be shorter if the group is going fast with no mechs and no lunch at newcombs. Lunch adds another hour.
