Hey Surlygal,

At one time I used to smoke a pack of ciggs a day. To get me off of smoking I started chewing well that was a bad idea because it disgusting as well. Anyways one day I was riding in El Morro and ended up crashing well I had a chew in my mouth and ended up swallowing my chew and ahhh man I knew I had to get that chaw out so right their I gag myself to puke. Why do I do these things to myself?

Well my friend used to smoke as well and he got me started back into riding and he has one of those custom engravings on his bike and it said "do you wanna smoke?" Classic for going up hills I bet after a few hill climbs your not going to want to ever have a cigarette craving.

5 days for me, only about 3 real urges and that's it.

Riding at the loop and struggling up those hills did it for me! I'm already a bit on the heavyside and then to not be able to breath was the kicker...

I've really started to enjoy riding my bike..and I want to keep it that way..

We have been doing the 24hrs of Moab for years (i'm support) this year i'd really like to Pre-Ride the course and enjoy some of the trails out there. The only way that is going to happen it to keep riding and NOT SMOKING..

My Mother, Grandmother and Dad have all had heart attacks over the past 3 years and much of that was caused by smoking. If that doesnt help you put down that cancer stick nothing will. Good luck and keep riding!

My mom used to smoke for 30 years. Well earlier last year she was diagnosed woth colan cancer well anyways thank God they caught it early. My mother was in the hospital for a total of six days and because she was confined to the bed and in pain from the surgery she quit smoking. I think the cancer was somewhat of a blessing because now she exercises more and kicked the habit.
