FYI, for those in the OC area, if you purchase an annual pass from Aliso, Whiting, LCWP or Nix Center, it also works at O'Neil, Santiago Oaks, and Irvine Regional Parks. I think it's $55/yr, half price after August (but, only good until Jan)

Default One last shout out for a shop with some pop.

Quick post that JensonUSA joined the ranks of those shops that are donating some stuff for the kids.

Just got a PM from Jared not only will he be joining ride with son and wifey but will bringing gift cards donated by Jenson for the kids.

Thanks

Default Thats all i'm gonna say about that (in best Forrest Gump voice)

Bump / Quick reminder that our little attempt to organize a ride for National take you kids mtb day ride is tomorrow (Sat October 6th) @ Irvine Park at 9:30am in parking lot #10.

If needed all other information can be found postings above but quick overview as such...

Meet at Irvine park, we’ll break into a few groups based on ride level (probably some combination of Peters Canyon & Irvine Park)

Post ride(s) we’ll regroup back at Lot #10 in Irvine park at ~11:30am for a chill BBQ/Picnic and kids free raffle/giveway

Again thanks to all the shops who donated swag - Adrenaline Bikes, JensonUSA, REI-Santa Ana, Switchback Cyclery and The Path

As mentioned in addition to the burgers and such I am bringing; anything you can "donate" - food /drink for BBQ/Picnic is appreciiated.

If you haven't already vol'd to bring something and want to please review thread and bring whatever works best for you...thanks ahead of time.

Hope you can join in and hope that everyone small and large goes home after event with a huge smile, a full belly, some new toys and a few more mtb friends.

Few other quick thoughts – don’t forget quick check your kids rigs/trailers (brakes, prop inflated tires, no loose bolts, etc). before heading to park

Also while we are trying to "secure" the park site before we start rolling it is not reserved site so you may want to throw in you car/truck/etc some folding chairs, blankets, etc. in case you want to pop a squat and there is no mo’ bench room

Dat's all folks,
Adam

Kid A - if you need me to bring something different let me know. Julia has been asking to ride with other kids for a long time. Hoping to get my older girl Stef out to ride. This should be fun.

Thanks for doing this.

Nice job everyone. thanks for helping out and bringing stuff Jared - thanks for helping to get "finalized"

a few thoughts. do we have any side dishes (eg. fruit, pasta, mac. potato salads).

alos I'll do finally tally of heacount for burger count tonight to pick up but did notice that some said they don't eat burgers. Not sure if a "beef" thing or just don't like burgers (maybe the real little one won't eat em, things some siad may bring theri own but any thoughts on a second "main dish" for the grill or cold.

oh, one more - I know there was some mention of "red cup action". we set there or did we pass? park "rules" and kids?

Just at thought. Prob will not be able to check the board until tonight so if anyone has a decent ideas on any of the above run with it or post it up for someone else

again big thanks!!!
