Default SART on Sunday 7:30am 7-1-07

Looks like SART is where we are headed!

7:30 am meet time at the turnout just past Angelus Oaks on the 38.
Here is the geoladders link:

Want to know if there are some bodies interested in either Chantry Flats ride or San Juan ride up and down next Sunday.

Either ride will start early, I am "home alone" that day so I want to do a "longish" ride.....anyone in for either one OR the one I have been wanting to do since I moved here:
my casa, up Skyline, down Blackstar, road ride to the Luge, blast past Cooks, down into Whiting, back up to Cooks for a beer and then thumb a ride homeor figure out some kind of shuttle home...just a thought!

Seriously let me know if you are interested, I am up for something fun!

I think I can do a Sunday morning ride up the lower section of the San Juan Trail. What time?

It would be around 7ish but there is a chance we might be heading to SART instead...which would help me out since we are getting a boat delivered sunday at Big Bear lake!
Once I see who is in, I'll post up the spot!

Should this thread be more ambiguous?

Man, that sounds great. But I don't want to disappoint those who are interested in Big Bear. I'll PM them to see if they want to switch up. Kind of a long ride. I think we did it in 5 hours last time but there was like 20 guys that caused a lot of waiting.

Any chance of a later start? We'd have to leave the OC at 5:30 AM.

6 plus me so far, I am starting early because there are a few neebies to the trail coming and I don't want them stuck out there all day.
The pace will be pretty moderate will plenty of re-grouping..I've only lost one rider in my trips up and down SART!
If you guys can make it, let me know asap. We were deciding whether or not to leave a truck at the bottom of the fireroad for the folks that are blown when we get back - Jeff????- and I will most likely leave a truck at Southfork for some extra bevies/food!

What's the total distance of the route you plan on taking? I'd be a newb to SART as well.

Right, but I'm assuming that doesn't take into account the fire road to lead back to the parking lot (assuming we don't shuttle it)...

I believe that it's usually shuttled. It takes 4-5 hours WITH the shuttle.

SART it is. We are joining up with you guys! Matt (Von-Skipp), I have you carpooling with me and we'll have to meet in Irvine at 6:00AM to load up and get up there. I've got room for 2 more if anybody else needs a ride up from the OC.
