I got a mean cold that has kicked in full blast, I'll be sitting on the sidelines this week.

Perfect Ride with Ryan Hermit and Matt Quad Damage.

Started at 6:20 pedaling, perfect warm temp, my Garmin was not working, but we had a nice pace to Beeks...

After the Traverse you never know how you will feel, but we all felt great.

As planned we started down the Skyline SingleTrack in the light, we cut right and started bombing down... Matt & Ryan were stoked to hit the very top parts that are often missed.

A little Loose in some parts...

We took every single off the fireroad, and ended up down a little to the left... Had to jump a few fences, luckily the dogs were in a cage still, at the nursery.

We made it back to the wash, and climbed back to the skyline trail head. Took a water break, got the playlist ready, and started climbing.

Skyline is a very rythmic climb, if you haven't climbed it yet.. On an SS, your in the saddle less than 30%... We made it to Beeks in 53minutes. which at night after climbing Blackstar, and decending is a good pace.

We were hurting at this point, and flew down Blackstar.

Blackstar was so smooth and fast going down.

Ended with 3:10 ride time.

Thanks Ryan & Matt for the excellent ride!

Shiat, my best ride time to Beeks from the Skyline side is 1 hour 5 minutes. These old legs just won't go any faster.

The really fast riders do this (up Blackstar to Beek's) in about 30-35 minutes! I cannot comprehend how Manny could do the whole Traverse in 3:43 Could he and Cameron (3:54 on SS) be aliens in human bodies???

.... It's so depressing!

OMR

PS: Nice ride guys... that's a great time after doing the Traverse ... oh, to have young legs again!
