Sunday morning Lacey and I, and maybe a few others, are gonna head up to Rim Nordic to pre-ride the course for the 24th.

We'll be meeting at The Path at 8am, and leaving by 8:30. We should be up there and riding by 10:30 more or less.

Anyone's welcome to tag along.

Already promised the wife she could have me the whole day tomorrow,Shiat!!!

I did ride by there on my road bike today and there were some others with the same idear. Lots of mtb's going up the hill.

Well, I'm still heading up.
Lacey's teacher moved one of her finals to Monday, so she will be spending the day studying.

I'll be at the Path between 8-8:15am, leaving by 8:30.

Mike, there were some of the guys at the shop talking about the Ride Around the Bear. It sounds like fun!?

Darin, please give us a rr, on the conditions and such. Pretty dry year up there. I'm wondering what the course will be like.

Since nobody showed up at the shop to do the Rim Nordic ride, and Lacey couldn't go, I stayed local.

Dean, did you go on up? I didn't know there were any of you going up to meet up.

Sorry.

I may try to get her up there next weekend, on Saturday, if I don't have to work.

Made up my mind last minute. I also went by the shop and no one there so I wanted some new dirt, so I went to up the hill. Well worth it, the weather was perfect.

Rim Nordic is in mediocre shape, rode it mid-week. The first climb is still hard pack, but most of the others are loose soil. There hasn't been any rain or runoff to speak of the past month or so. You can still get a good head of steam going on the decent after the split along the fire road up top. I maxed out at 24 mph on a hardtail. The switchbacks are in need of a little rehab since someone a few weeks ago didn't know how to let off the rear brake.

I'm re-riding it on Tuesday. I'll post a few pics, if I remember.
