Not sure yet, but I think I'll be bringing someone from work. He'll be on the slow side so I'll be bringing up the rear. Just give him some encouragement as you all ride past. Don't bother to wait for us, as this could turn out to be a long one. I'm thinking a 2 hour loop.
Cool, I'll bring my balls!

With everything going on, we won't finish, so I'll be there for an early lap around 4ish. no hammer, just mellow, I need to start tapering off before Hurkey.
I rode the Loop tonight and there is another hole at the tree before the lake. You can hop over it with speed, but for the newbs, be careful! |

There's always a hole by the tree I guess they don't realize that mountian bikes are made to go through holes. I think we should stake out the guy digging holes and put him in a bigger deeper hole.

Since I won't be able to make the start by 6:00, let alone 6:15. I will just start from my house at about 6:45 and enter the loop from the west side near the fire station, where you turn from the sidewalk on Rosecrans to the trail. I'm not sure if this will put me ahead or behind the group, but maybe I'll see y'all. Enjoy!

Why do I always feel like starting these posts with "After last week..."
I'm leaving for mammoth at 5:30ish the next morning, so of course I'll be there, riding and roscoe's-ing - who needs sleep? Should be in for a 4:45-5ish lap too...

Guero,
Probably not. I won't be there tonight so for sure they will complete the Loop in 40 minutes max. I am home bored and sick. Hopefully I can be on the trail soon. Shoot now I am expected to ride faster and climb on my third ring. My freinds s%ck. I am just kidding. I am sure you will catch up to the group if you start at 6:30. Hope you all have a fabulous time! PainFreak - Hold on to that road bike porfavor. -Elvia

i ended up starting at 6:50. i had to wait for triscuit to arrive with my light. i saw dino and gene and a handfull of other bubbs. pretty uneventful except for triscuit getting a flat 5 minutes into the ride over the mulch...he pulled out about a 3 inch long stick about a 1/4 inch in diameter from his back tire. met up with gene, dino, a bubb and his wife and mtnbikefred made a grand entrance, nice to meet ya tonight bubb.

Loop'n on my Heckler
![]() |
Definitely NOT a normal Thursday Loop. I think we pulled out with maybe 9 riders. A LOT less dirt in the eyes and a much better pace with fewer/shorter stops. It was a great change of pace. We had our lights on at the fire station - the most "night" riding I've ever done. Thanks to whoever took us down the middle trail before the dam. I'd never ventured into the jungle before.

Our actual riding time was 1:09 on my watch. It takes out our paused time but we didn't really stop much at all. Fastest time I think as a group. Fun times. Now I just have to get a smaller battery for my light.
