That's OK, Andy brings a trailer to haul all his stuff.

You would not believe some of the stuff that's in Dean's backpack...but at least he doesn't need a trailer.

Hey now! I don't seem to remember anyone being upset that I brought a trailer- ESPECIALLY when I pulled out beverages for everyone!

not upset, just pointing out to the Loopy nub, how important it is to be prepared for this ride.

Rode the Loop tonight - maybe add rainboots to the "must have" list. There was a pretty good flow of water at the third road crossing and about 200 yards later "they" snuck in a second puddle. My lack of hucking skills led to one big splash. Wet shoes = no good.

See you all on Thursday

Ryan, don't know if you've found directions yet, but the "Map" link here on STR (on the nav. bar near Calendar, Log Out, etc.) is pretty useful for locating trailheads and other relevant points of interest. Here's the Fullerton Loop page as an example. Pretty simple, but it's right here and couldn't be more convenient.

Speaking of full gear... I dont know if anyone else has seen this kid around town (Rancho Santa Margarita) but there is this kid that rides either a BMX bike or rarely a HT mtn bike with full DH pads head to toe and a FF helmet. He just does laps around town I dont think he even hits dirt. Hey, you never know when a random jump chance may happen!

hey look who got lights lol well kinda decided you know SureFire was kind enough to send me some sample lights a while ago and damn they are bright. So, took some electrical tape and one of the 100 lumens lights and strapped it up top the helmet. Ghetto-fabulous!

Surefire best lights out right now. I used to own one I regret that I sold it. Those light are expensive but worth every penny.

They are expensive but you can get a G2 Nitrolon light for like 35 bucks. And I bought the extra lamp assembly which increases the light output of my Surefire to like 100 lumens so its bright but battery only last 20 min I think I'm going to zip tie my surefire to the top of my helmet as well. Might as well...

Be careful with the zipties. They are stronger than electrical tape but with my helmet design the zipties which I tried first hurt my head. The zipties cannot conform to the weird shapes of the helmet and I found that when I looped them through the holes and tightened them down the zipties could not run under the padding and it rubbed the top of my head and hurt. Thats why I went with tape so I could have it smooth along the lines of the helmet. Hopefully itll hold

Oh it'll hold. Mr. DB went all last season with his taped on Surefire and it never came off on the loop. He's still working on some sort of contraption for his Surefires to be mounted on the bar.
