Default Eye Candy Ride: Ride report posted

Ok, there has been enough interest for this so I'm throwing it up here. This is just going to be a nice easy ride, mostly on pavement, on the strand connecting Bolsa Chica State Beach to Balboa.
It is a social ride where we check out the local wildlife. There will probably be a fair amount of foot traffic on the strand that day so going fast isn't the idea. The scenery is too good for that anyway.

Everybody from roadies to downhillers are welcome, just run what you brung

2:00 pm meet at the parking Lot at the corner of Warner Ave and PCH. Questions and POC in case you get lost the day of: 562-413-6042

Remember to bring money for parking!!!

It is about 20 miles round trip but it can be shortened at any point by turning around. Additionally if enough interested parties want to shorten it then that is cool with me.

Great idea on posting a beach ride! hopefully more are planned for the summer.

Another great beach ride is from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach.

Default Eye Candy RR

So after a late start I started out from PCH and warner and rode the boardwalk through huntington and newport to Balboa. Unfortunately riding one handed and taking pictures with the other doesn't work well for me. So I didn't take any pictures of the local wildlife, which there was a lot of.
After taking a break at Pipeline frozen yogurt in balboa and heading back, I met up with Dirtorpedo and CycleCC in HB. They were riding old Schwinn cruisers and I was riding "Eleanor" and I was actually jealous of them and their comfy bikes.

We rode through Huntington to Newport where we engaged in some clandestine , flew Chris's kite and talked for a while. After refilling the cooler with brews we headed back into huntington, more , then dinner and at Longboards. Afterwrds we went back to Dirtorpedo's truck, had a mini tailgate party, and called it quits. I'll post pics later

After returning to my car I found out that I got an $89 ticket for being there past 10pm.

It was so great to hang with you Chris thanks for posting the riding. I think this is something I would be up for every few weeks, so lets do it again soon.

I absolutely love riding the schwinn's and just cruising, so much fun. What more can you ask for good people, good beer, good food...thank you both for making it an enjoyable day.
