Default Chiquito Shuttle - Sunday, May 20th @ 8:30

I would like to get one last Chiquito ride in before the summer heat begins to dominate the days. Meet at the parking lot across from the candy store on Sunday @ 8:30am. From there, we'll drive up to Bluejay and begin our descent. Once we get back to the parking lot and if everyone is up to it, we can hit the San Juan loop.

Stealer!

What's with people using my copyrighted stuff today, anyway?

Sorry we're gonna miss out. We'll both be out of town. We've been wanting to do this ride for awhile, though. Maybe we can hit you up to show us the way around this fall, eh?

Ha ha, I am stealing the link, not the photo.

I would be happy to show you guys Chiquito this fall. Justin and I have tried to setup several rides in the past. It seems like I am out of town when you come to OC and you are out of town when I make it over to your side of the mountain.

Have a good trip.

Bummer as of right now I cannot make it, Mike has opened up a bunch of new jumps . Look for rock jumps and new catarpillars.

I don't mean to be a killjoy, but I wonder what the Forest Service is going to think when they find that jump.

Maybe we should take down the photo and delete my post.

As I understand it, this thing is sooooo in the open (and in the way) that its days are certainly numbered.

I think it needs to be taken down. The jump, not the proof that it exists. It's a really well built jump/drop, but national forest land is NOT the place for stuff like that to be built.

where is it? on the San Juan or Chaquito trail?
not to flame, but where is the place for something like that? it looks well built and there's a "B" line next to it
does every trail have to be for a beginner and his mother?

i hear ya. i'm all for ladders and stunts. it is a bummer that we don't really have a "park" around the so. cal area to cater to us who like to ride those kind of features. im sure stunts/ladders will always pop up only to get torn down by those who don't approve (or cant ride them).

They get tore down because they did not get permission to be built to begin with. I have no problem with them, my point is when we start posting about them on line, they get popular then the landmanagers have to do something.

This is a Fight Club issue. How many times do we need to learn this lesson.

I agree but in this case it doesn't matter. The location has doomed it... You don't build this kind of stuff on popular trails in National Forests. There are too many people that do not want to see this kind of stuff while hiking / camping with the family or even mountain biking. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it has already been removed.

a good place would be your back yard. I've got wood, skill saws and a shovel. When are we gonna get started??? lol

Only a real boob would have built that there. That's the kind of thing that will get all the other stuff taken out along with it. Like those rock spines that we like so much.

Yeah, a bike park in the area would be nice.

Can't make this ride. Have fun.

Well if you're lucky enough to actually have a backyard in so cal then you'd have a good point! Where you live Dave, I'll bring my hammer

I have a pretty big yard really. Small house on a double lot with two 2 car garages. What more could I ask for?
We're leaning more towards a pool over a jump ramp so bring the shovel.

How about a 'gap the pool' jump?

I think we know a good place to do this kind of stuff. If it didn't get out-of-hand, I don't think it would be a problem at all.

They should just let us build a bike park under freeway overpasses like they have done in Seattle.

I wonder if anyone has approached the City of Fontana about putting in a pratice area and some stunts at Southridge. From what I have seen they don't seem to be too phobic about lawsuits.
